KVU Man of the Year
The "Man of the Year" award was created in 2008 to recognize a KVU member who demonstrated outstanding dedication and leadership during the previous year. This could have been from their administrative and/or performance involvement, and a person cannot receive the award more than once in a period of 5 years. The first award in 2008 covered the first two years of the KVU's existence. Since then the award is typically presented in the summer of each year, with recipients deemed "Man of the Year" for the next 12 months. During that time, the current recipient is often jubilantly welcomed and announced at KVU events with a rousing shout of "Man of the Year"!
